I was wondering while looking through a copy of the Computer Shopper rag. Are the 1.44 Mb drives for the PC that you can obtain for $60 the same drives used in the Macs these days? I remember the older drives had a funky line for varying the motor speed. Even if these PC drives couldn't read 800k floppies, they would make a nice external drive for backups or writing 1.44 Mb floppies to exchange files and such. -- Douglas S.
