we have a apple laserwriter II that will stop working and flash the "out of paper" and "paper jam" lights. there will be paper in the paper tray and nothing jammed. turning off the printer and restarting doesn't help. it bombs towards the end of the self test (after it loads a piece of paper). our apple service rep came out and looked at it. he claimed that carefully vacuuming the machine will temporarily solve the problem, but could not provide a permanent fix. he also claims that it is a not uncommon problem with older laserwriter II's. any help would be appreciated. this is the second time in a month we've had them come to service it. it's getting expensive! also, if anyone knows what error code (if any) the two blinking lights signify, please let me know. thanks! julia ---------------------------------------------------------------- julia hsieh My opinions are not intended to reflect hsieh@rscene.hac.com those of Hughes Aircraft Company. ----------------------------------------------------------------
