gile@quads.uchicago.edu (Aaron Giles) (06/22/91)
I'm currently running a Mac IIcx with a Mac Portrait Display card (with a
Portrait Display, obviously). I can already get it to display 2-bit
greyscale graphics, though I know that it is capable of 4-bit display.
However, when I asked my local dealer about an upgrade, he said that
Apple no longer made them. Now, it seems to me (a total hardware
idiot) that I should just be able to pop in a few memory chips (I guess
about 256k-worth) and let it go. But I don't know (a) if this would
work, or (b) if it *did* work, what speed, size, etc. of chips I should
use. Can anyone help me, or point me somewhere where I might find out
some of this info?
Thanks,
Aaron Giles
