The power supply on my neighbor's Mac+ died when we tried to install 4M of memory. It just goes pfff-pfff-pfff when we turn it on (no beep), which I understand is indicative of failure of diodes CR1 or CR5. I don't really feel like repairing his board myself (if it were my Mac, that would be a different matter...), but I promised I'd asked the net for advice on places that to component-level repair on the analog boards (rather than the board swap). Anybody have any good experiences along that line? Please e-mail me since I became overcome by this group a while ago... Thanks. --Mark
