Yesterday I became the proud owner of the new AE QuickSilver Card. For those unfamiliar with the card, it is a direct-slot adapter, FPU, and cache card for the IIsi. Now for the fun part. The software which enables the cache on the IIsi tells me that the cache is unavailable. According to the documentation, that means that my computer is incapable of having a cache card. I have contacted Applied Engineering and they are looking into the problem, but haven't heard of it. The FPU is working well, so the card seems to be installed properly. If you have one of these cards, or have any suggestions, I would love to hear from you. Statistics: Mac IIsi, 5/80 Apple Hi-Res 13" RGB Monitor System 6.0.7 AE Cache init I have attempted turning the disk cache on and off, multifinder on and off, and the monitor to a different screen depth. (All of which should make no difference, and of course they didn't.)
