This note is in reply to an info-vax article which reviewed the recent DECtown exhibition, mentioning, favorably, the DECtalk text-to-speech unit. DECtalk is scheduled for formal announcement in December, with first deliveries during early 1984. The single quantity price will be less than the range ($5,000 -- $10,000 dollars) that was mentioned.
