I have written a FORTRAN mode for Goesling EMACS. It supports:

	commenting,
	simple indentation control,
	continuation line hacking,
abbreviations for most FORTRAN keywords (DEC's FORTRAN (VMS)),
	and paren flashing.

We also have a Pascal mode (but I did not write it - I don't use
Pascal, so I don't know what features it has). We don't have BASIC,
so nobody bothered with a BASIC mode. Probably the FORTRAN mode
could be adapted, using a different abbreviation table, etc. Let me
know if you are interested.

(Please excuse my sending this to the whole Info-VAX mailling list,
but due to changes to the csnet software, the From: field got striped
off)
