MILWAUKEE (UPI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers said Saturday they have reached agreement with catcher B.J. Surhoff on a new one-year contract. The terms were undisclosed. That means 10 of 14 players who were eligible for arbitration this year have come to terms with the Brewers, while four eligible for arbitration remainedunsigned. Of the players on the team's 40-man roster, 19 have agreed to terms. Surhoff, acquired by the Brewers in 1985, batted .248 this past season and hit five home runs while batting in 55 runs. He also threw out 28 of 107 runners trying to steal, an average of 26 percent.
