We are in the process of evaluating several object-oriented packages for a
big project( Computerized hospital). We want to use object-oriented languages
for the following reasons :
- ability to prototype the application
- very user-friendly interface
- ability to easily change interface behavior
In order to choose the appropriate environment, we request the help
and sugestions of anybody willing to help. More specific subjects are :
1 - graphics interface builder/libraries ?
2 - Is there a clip-art or icon library ?
3 - Physical limitations or drawbacks or things we should know ?
4 - Benchmarks : Performance, ease-of-use, etc.
5 - Is there a debugger/interpreter available ?
6 - Tools/libraries available to support Ethernet and/or TCP-IP
7 - Digitazing images and transform them into icons or objects.
8 - Voice digitazing ?
9 - Tools/libraries for a database interface ?
Please reply by most appropriate way I will summarize.
