[fa.info-vax] Eunice *warning* and a question

Just to set the record straight, you are talking about the VMS implementation
of the Software Tools Virtual Operating System, not Eunice. Yes, that problem
is well known, and as a result the last 3 distributions of the software have
built all of the tools programs with notrace. You can obtain the most
recent distribution by requesting a copy of the Fall 1983 VAX SIG tape from
your DECUS local user group.

The software tools shell, in so far as possible, tries to support transparent
drop through into native mode commands. In the example you posed, to
invoke your command file, you would type

@mycomfile

just as you would to DCL. Note that I mentioned in so far as possible.
The tricks that must be performed in order to get the DCL sub-process into
the same state (environment) as the parent are substantial, and sometimes
we do not get them all.
