I have two coupons from Borland. One to upgrade to C++, the
other to upgrade my ancient-never-used copy of Turbo Pascal.
I'm a C bigot, so I will upgrade to C++, but I'm curious
about Turbo Pascal 5.5, in particular its object extensions.
How are these extensions similar/different to objects in
C++ and/or Smalltalk? I'm interested in TP 5.5 if its
Object Oriented paradigm is sufficiently different from TC++.
Please answer by e-mail. If there is sufficient interest I'll
post a summary.

Thanks for the replies. The basic consensus is that the
Object Oriented paradigm for Turbo Pascal is very similar to
Turbo C++. Since I have a C orientation I will stay with
my original plans to purchase only an upgrade to TC++ and spare the
expense of upgrading to TP5.5. With this I do not wish to imply that
Turbo Pascal is an inferior product, the contrary is true.
Thanks again.
