We've got four micro vaxes up and running for a class with about 50 students. So far I haven't noticed any major bugs, certainly nothing like DUA0 going offline or having to be remounted. We've got the four machines in a closet, where the tempature is pushing 90 degrees (which the Owner's manual states is the top of the operating range). There could be tempature problems. MicroVAX II, or the VAX on a chip is apparently available internally in the company, and has been benchmarked on some things at 80% of a 780. But that figure is second hand and virtually worthless given that the benchmarks used were not specified. Anyway, it will probably evolve into an entirely different machine from the uVAX I, and I doubt an upgrade will be possible. Randy Day.
