[comp.object] REal Life examples needed for CLASSES, INHERITANCE, MI

I am teaching an advanced course on OOP and C++.
The audience is a group of very experienced C/UNIX programmers.

I would like to collect a set of good REAL LIFE examples
situations where the concept of CLASS, INHERITANCE,  MI,
and POLYMORPHISM are very appropriate/evident.

I have already collected a good many examples. I would
like to request some additional input from netters.
