I'm looking for a decent C or C++ -based object-oriented development environment for a new project that is starting up here. The application will be developed and fielded on some 20+ MIPS Unix box. We only have one constraint at this point: the sponsor wishes to use Info-CAD or some such like as his graphics/data interface. We will be developing a simulation that will interface to the CAD system. The posibilities that we are considering now are: 1. Saber C++ (I don't event think this has been released, yet) 2. Object Works 3. Pro Kappa (a product of Intellicorp, Mountain View CA) I know nothing about 1 and 2 above. We are planning to beta test Pro Kappa. If anyone has additional suggestions, or can supply me information about the first two products (including telephone numbers) I would greatly appreciate it. You might also take a look as Hewlett Packards SoftBench/C++. Its great stuff if you can run on HP hardware. -- Jim Sharpe / jms@spatial.com
