[fa.info-vax] Structured DCL

info-vax@ucbvax.ARPA (10/25/84)

From: root@rochester.arpa (Liudvikas Bukys)

I noticed in a recent edition of the Pageswapper that there
is a lot of interest in a structured version of DCL. I have a
preprocessor for DCL, called RCL (Readable Command Language). It
allows FLECS-like constructs such as WHEN-ELSE, SELECT, CONDITIONAL,
procedures, UNTIL, WHILE, FOR, etc. and is written in FLECS, with
the Fortran code available (I wrote it before I started hacking
extensively in C). Help and documentation files are included.

Unfortunately, it's sitting on another (VMS) machine, while
this message comes to you courtesy of a UNIX machine. We have no way
that I know of to transfer files from the VMS to the UNIX VAX that
is not incredibly slow and painful.

Therefore, if you mail me, I'll try to respond. If you send
me a 1600 b.p.i. tape via U.S. mail, I'd be glad to send you a copy.
