[comp.object] Object Oriented Testing

jwb3@ra.MsState.Edu (Jeffrey W Britt) (03/08/91)

I am a graduate student at Mississippi State University working on
a Master's of Science in Computer Science. Does anyone know of ANY
reference material on the task of testing in the Object Oriented
environment? If you do please respond.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff Britt

Well Jeff, I'm not sure what you mean by "testing in the Object-Oriented
environment" but here's what I have with "testing" and "object-oriented" in
the title. I hope this is some use.

Recently (about 4+ months ago), Ed Berard posted a paper on testing O-O
software to this group. I don't know if it has been published anywhere, but
I grabbed an electronic copy. It's easy to convert to LaTeX format,
or whatever. It's also a good paper!
"Issues in the Testing of Object-Oriented Software"
		- Edward V. Berard, Berard Software Engineering, Inc.

Another possible reference I have is
	"Adequate Testing and Object-Oriented Programming"
		- supposedly appearing in the Journal of Object-Oriented Programming
		  January 1990, p. 13.

If you get any more responses could you please drop me an e-mail line? I'm
interested in this sort of stuff, too.

Phil.
