I'm working on a paper about how encapsulation can be preserved in spite of inheritance. Any ideas on this subject? I'm specially looking into the language of BETA and the notions of MIXINS (as proposed by W. COOK and GILAD BRACHA in the paper "Mixin-based Inheritance" (ECOOP/OOPSLA '90 Proceedings, pp. 303-311) and SUBTYPING as proposed by P. America. Kim
