In the March/April issue of JOOP, there is an article by C. Atkinson, S. Goldsack, A. Di Maio, and R. Bayan, on DRAGOON, a distributed, concurrent, object-oriented, ADA-based language that was developed as part of the Esprit project, DRAGON. (I trust that my description of reality is reasonably accurate.) I found DRAGOON to be an interesting approach to the OODS problem, particularly for systems in-the-large. (Comments anyone?) Missing from the article, however, was a description of at what state DRAGOON currently is. Anyone out there know about DRAGOON? Possibly you know of email addresses for the authors? I would like more information on what has been done with DRAGOON. Is it running? Have any (large) systems been implemented in DRAGOON? Anything else that is relevent will be appreciated also. Please reply by email. I will send summary upon request. Thanks, very much. -- Daryl Morse | Voice : (604) 293-5476 MPR Teltech Ltd. | Fax : (604) 293-5787 8999 Nelson Way, Burnaby, BC | E-Mail: morse@quark.mpr.ca Canada, V5A 4B5 | quark.mpr.ca!morse@uunet.uu.net
