[comp.object] Structuring Large OO Systems

fzhauck@immd4.informatik.uni-erlangen.de (Franz J. Hauck) (06/25/91)

Building large units in a object-oriented programming environment is
quite different from building small units (objects).

Has anybody references to papers handling structuring in large OO systems?

Interesting topics include:

- how to get hierarchical name spaces for class names / type names
- approaches with entities different from objects / classes

If there`s enough interest I will post a summary.

There was a series of papers on affinity browsing in large object systems by
members of D.Tsichritzis' group (University of Geneva) in their publications
mentioned in comp.object postings some time ago. I have reviewed one of
them (the first?) for SIGMOD Record (December 1989).

Hope this helps.
