From: Mike Iglesias <iglesias@uci-750a> We can't find any information in either the manuals or the release notes telling which dduBOO.CMD file to use when booting from RA81 disks on a UDA50. Does anybody know which ones to use? Thanks for any info. Mike Iglesias University of California, Irvine

From: Nancy Pace <Nancy@USC-ECLC.ARPA> For our HSC50, I had to modify a couple of template files to make deposits into R2 and R3 for the appropriate drive. The template files are CIGEN. and CIBOO.CMD. Nancy Pace -------

From: Mark Johnson <MHJohnson@HI-MULTICS.ARPA> What is wrong with DU0BOO.CMD?? That is what we use on our system. In case you don't have a copy of it, here are the register settings... DEPOSIT/I 11 20003800 ! SET UP SCBB DEPOSIT R0 11 ! UDA-MSCP DISK DEPOSIT R1 3 ! UBA TR=3 DEPOSIT R2 3F468 ! CSR ADDRESS OFFSET = 3F468 DEPOSIT R3 0 ! CONTROLLER UNIT = 0 DEPOSIT R4 0 ! BOOT BLOCK LBN (UNUSED) DEPOSIT R5 4000 ! SOFTWARE BOOT FLAGS DEPOSIT FP 0 ! SET NO MACHINE CHECK EXPECTED This works for booting from the first UDA50 on the first unibus. Change the unit number and/or CSR address (?) for other drives. I thought I saw the details somewhere about the register usage, but since I am at home (& without manuals) I can't give you the proper reference. Send me a line if you need the details if someone doesn't beat me to it. --Mark Johnson <MHJohnson @ HI-MULTICS>
