WordPerfect 5.1 distributes several macros. The biggest one with
a .WPM extension is LABELS.WPM, 21,176 bytes.
There's a large keyboard file, MACROS.WPK at 32,835 bytes.

I would have to guess that the macro size limitation in 5.1 has been substantially increased. Another user has confirmed that he was unable to get a macro that was bigger than 5.5k to run. I cut my own back to size (using NEST commands) and have reduced the main routine to 5400 bytes. It seems to run OK now. Having learned my lesson once I am not about to start consoldating it again and will have to accept that it will be in 5 parts. C'est la vie!
