people interested in dsp coprocessor boards for personal computers, read on;
otherwise, hit 'd' now

[the following is a blurb a friend of mine asked me to post to the dsp
newsgroup about one of his products. please call him if you're interested,
rather than replying to me. thx.]

For those interested in a good DSP32C development system, you might want to
look into the PC/AT coprocessor board offered by Symmetric Research. They
feature a multilayer board, with a DSP32C cpu running at 40/50Mhz, and a
memory array that can be populated to 640K with standard 32Kx8 SRAMs. The
dynamic range of the floating point arithmetic done by the DSP32C is a real
spoiler once you change over from the fixed point of earlier generation DSPs

Additional features of the board are:
	16 bit PC/AT bus interface
2 memory mapped 32 bit parallel ports (fully buffered)
	includes assembler and monitor/debugger
math library with fft's, matrix inverse, fir's
EGA graphics library for displaying results
	all source code included

A 0K base board including all software is $950, with a full 640K of 100ns
memory costing an additional $400. All the memory is socketed so many
different configurations are possible. For more info, their phone number
is (206)828-6560.
