Can anyone provide references to algorithms or results related to the development of a CCITT still picture coding standard? Also, are the test images available? Wallace, G., "Overview of the JPEG (ISO/CCITT) still image compression standard," draft of paper to be presented at Visual Communications and Image Processing '89, SPIE, Philadelphia, PA, Nov 89 [I assume it was presented]. Wallace, G., et al., "Technical Description of the proposed JPEG baseline standard for color image compression," Electronic Imaging East '89, October, 1989.
