		Postdoctoral Position Available

	   Speech Processing and Speech Enhancement

The Speech Processing Laboratory has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral
Fellow with interests in speech enhancement.  Support is available for up to
two years to conduct research on DSP-based solutions for enhancing the
acceptability and intelligibility of disordered speech. The incumbent will
participate as collaborator on existing research projects and may also
initiate independent related research. Applications are invited from
candidates who have completed graduate work for a Ph.D. or equivalent in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related area. Candidates
should have speech research experience and a strong interest in the
application of speech processing in the development of aids for the
handicapped.

The Speech Processing Laboratory is one of the Applied Science and Engineering
Laboratories (ASEL) of the Alfred I. duPont Institute/University of Delaware.
The laboratories are housed on the campus of the A.I. duPont Institute, a
hospital for children, in Wilmington Delaware. The ASEL houses the NIDRR
Rehabilitation Engineering Center in Augmentative Communication, and maintains
formal affiliation with departments in the schools of Arts and Sciences and
Engineering at the University of Delaware.
