I am looking for recommendations of add-in 56001 boards for the IBM PC.
I would like to use it to get some "hands-on" DSP experience. I am
particularly interested in developing algorithms to process audio.
I will be using my own funds to purchase the board, so low cost is important.
A single channel is OK and I don't need very high sampling rates.
I'd like to hear comments from folks that have purchased 56001 boards, such
as the ones made by Ariel. Some specific question I have are:
What to do like/not like about them?
How is the software?
What limitations do they have?
Can they operate in a 4.77 MHz, 8086-based IBM PC?
I'd also like to hear comments on Macintosh based boards.
Are the software and tools better on the Mac?
Thanks
