I am looking at designing both IIR and FIR digital filters, and I would like to get some public-domain computer-aided design (and analysis) programs to do this. I have the IEEE book listing the source code for many useful programs, including the Parks-McClellan FIR Design Program, but I would like to avoid typing these in by hand. Also, they seem to be in an ancient dialect of FORTRAN, and I'm not sure if my present FORTRAN compiler will be able to understand them. If anyone has these programs on-line, hopefully in a modernized form (C is preferable, but FORTRAN or Pascal would be ok too) I would greatly appreciate you emailing the source code to me. (Or perhaps there is an archive site somewhere with these programs?) Thanks for any help you can give me.
