As an update to the Fireworks Warning I posted a couple of weeks ago, here is what the Docs did with Nunzio's hand, or what was left of it. As you recall from our last episode, Nunzio had just blown up his hand with a Blockbuster and was being rushed to the hospital while the rest of the witnesses scoured the streets for parts left behind. We found four of Nunzio's fingers all over the place. They were packed in ice and followed Nunz to the hospital. This was where we left things. Well, the Doctors looked him over and decided to operate. It seems that Nunzio still had his pinky, hanging by a thread. They took the pinky off and put it where the index finger used to be, micro-surgeried the middle and ring fingers back on and wrapped it up. Seems the index was too far gone and the thumb is still amoung the missing, probably landed on top of a passing bus. I know I have treated this submission rather lightly, but maybe some others will be sufficeintly forewarned by the whole idea and stay away from those killer fireworks. Remember the kid who put a blockbuster in a barrel last year? He was sliced in two by the flying shrapnel. Have a nice day. T. C. Wheeler
