I am after a digital filter that has an arbitrary response. I want to implement a digital graphic equaliser for high quality audio. I have had suggestions of approaches by multiple band pass, but I believe it to be quite possible to have one where the coefficients are calculated in the frequency domain, which seems sensible. Anyone know of a good algorithm for this? I would also be most grateful if anyone could give me some info on filters, FFTs etc that are intended for REAL data! This seems almost impossible to find- doesn't anyone use ADCs!?? Thanks in advance, Marcus Bointon.
