Daniel Kelley and Steve Curtin have a DSP board out for $250. Steve has posted info about it before in this newgroup. The board is 56000 based and comes with most of the chips that you need to put it together. The chips that aren't included are easy to get and inexpensive. As you might guess, you have to put it together yourself. I have received one of these boards and am in the process of assembling it.
