Aware, Inc, in Cambridge MA, is putting their wavelet compression
technology in silicon. They shown examples of 25:1 and 50:1 720x486 x
30 frame/sec compression at my seminar series. An intersting aspect on
their approach is to do this with 3D wavelets (ie time is explicitly
being a dimension compressed). Their number is
