I am currently working on a project dealing with dynamic complex impedance matching based on frequency response data. I would like to be able to draw representations of the source and load impedances using the Smith Chart representation, and was wondering if anyone had any code (preferably in C, but I'm not picky) which draws Smith Charts, or similar transmission line type representations. Although I am familiar with drawing Smith Charts manually, it would seem to me that there must be some tricky ways of getting a computer to draw the chart without going through all the hassles of drawing one by hand. In particular, I'm interested in numerical methods to construct the normalized reactance circles, radial reflection scales, probe ratio overlays, and methods of drawing Reike diagrams for oscillator load characteristics. Any pointers to printed references or existing code will be greatly appreciated.
