[comp.dsp] LPC Analysis and TI's chips

gbell@sdcc13.ucsd.edu (Greg Bell) (03/16/91)

I am 80% done with a program for my IBM AT that does LPC analysis,
including the voiced/unvoiced decision etc. So far I have a program
that calculates reflection coefficients, one that does the v/u
decision and determines period, if the signal is periodic, and a
program that displays and allows editing/playback of a speech
sample. All that's really left is sticking all the parts together.

This whole setup is meant to drive one of TI's LPC synthesizers so
that I will have my own custom speech setup. I'll be able to add
good quality speech to any projects at the low data rate LPC
provides.

Has anyone out there done anything similar? Or, has anyone used
TI's LPC synthesis chips? Does anyone have advice and/or caveats
for me?

Thanks...
