From: cbosgd!osu-eddie!pritch@BERKELEY (Norman Pritchett) Our VMS site is keeping daily incremental backups with journaling so we can easily find where and when a file was backed up. Occassionally though, the backup journal file gets corrupted. The first time, one of the blocks was completely nulled -- cause undetermined. This time it does not appear that a block was nulled out. Each time the error was 'Invalid record type in backup journal'. Anybody ever experience this? One of my hypotheses is that the journal file was locked by someone else when Backup wanted to use it. Does this hold water? (By the way, we're running version 3.7) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Norm Pritchett - The Generic Hacker UUCP: ...cbosgd!osu-eddie!pritch BITNET: TS0017@OHSTVMA
