[fa.info-vax] DMF-32 look-alike boards under VMS v4.0

	Some of the DMF-32 look-alike boards (i.e. ABLE VMZ-32 and -32/N)
have problems under VMS v4.0. The symptoms are that the terminal will
show a "device timed out" via SHOW TERMINAL and auto-bauding will not
work. This occurs because of line garbage and the fact the look-alike
boards do not exactly emulate all the XON and XOFF features of the
DMF-32. Some sites had no problems during field test while others
were totally disabled by this problem. It was usually caused by noisy
modem lines.
There are three methods to fix this problem. ABLE is looking
to distribute (probably for a price) roms that will fix the problem in
their boards. Also VMS version 4.1 fixes the problem by disabling some
of the functionality of the YCDRIVER. Look in the Release Notes for
VMS v4.1 under the patches to the YCDRIVER to find out how to solve this
problem via software. I have also heard that there is a non-DEC patch
that will solve this problem.
