Not that this is really a "virus", but a piece of MIDI software that sends out bad MIDI codes can trash some keyboards' memories. I once built a homebrew MIDI device (a digital lab course project) that was supposed to send out a series of MIDI codes and notes to a Korg Poly-800 that I borrowed from a friend. My first attempt accidentally sent out a SYSTEM EXCLUSIVE code (I think...) by mistake, and blanked or scrambled nearly all of the 64 presets on his board!
