I have a network of 24 RT's in the following configuration: - 3 file servers, which are connected together with Ethernet cable. - 21 client stations (7 per server). Each set of 7 clients is connected to its server via token ring. NFS has been installed on all of the servers, and a couple of the clients. I've been trying (for about two days) to get Yellow Pages working on one of the servers, to no avail. ypinit -m seems to work okay on the master server, and starting ypbind on the client seems to be okay too, until I try to put it to use. When I try to use it, the master server gets "yp: server not responding for domain "domain-name"; still trying" at regular intervals until I stop the attempt. This also happens when I try to reboot the server (at the point where the yp daemons get started. Is there anyone out there that has installed yellow pages on the RT? If so, could you please email to me? I've RTFM, but it doesn't really go into too much detail. It describes the installation process, but that doesn't give me any errors (until I try to ypinit -s master; that's another matter). Any help would be appreciated.
