We would like to add out PS/2 to our network but trying to find out from IBM which ethernet card to buy for use with AIX is impossible. Can some kind soul who has an AIX PS/2 running on a TCP/IP network let me know what hardware they are using. The supported Ethernet card for AIX PS/2 is the Ungermann-Bass NICps/2 board, orderable from IBM as part number 1327050. I believe it is also available from U-B and other sources. I have used this card successfully. Bob Shair Scientific Computing Specialist IBM Champaign

We use the Ungermann-Bass NIC/PS2 adapter for our PS/2s. Opinions are strictly my own, Allan D. Griefer, IBM Almaden Research Center, San Jose, CA BITNET: GRIEFER at ALMADEN Internet: griefer@ibm.com UUCP: ...!uunet!ibmarc!griefer mcimail: 398-8024

IBM supports the Ungermann-Bass "NIC PS/2" Ethernet card under AIX (to the best of my knowledge). I don't know of any others that are supported, but that certainly doesn't preclude the possibility. Check with your local IBM sales office for more information. Hope that helps. I doubt IBM wants them.......
