Actually, it's more a case of "AIX hasn't been tried on anything other
than IBM PS/2s", as far as I know.  I haven't heard of anyone trying
it on a clone.

	Well, it works for us (with some small mods) quite well on
Compaq 386 machines.  Of course, this is "not supported".  I know of no
plans to make these modifications generally available (or for that matter
even the source code that would need to be modified).
