We are currently a large user of UNIX SYS V.2 and are in the process of migrating to V.3. As well as this we are also considering a second set of systems which may be RISC 6000s running AIX. Does anyone have any general comments to make regarding AIX versus SYS V.3 (probably been done to death but my news history only lasts two days) especially considering they may be linked together in our environment with NFS. What I'm after is really the problems we would face linking the two up and also developing applications which would run under both. Also difficulty in moving data between them using streaming tape etc. A bit open ended I suppose but any comments (almost any ;-) would be appreciated.
