It is the same code as the first field test release and there were at least two field test releases after it. I don't think that applying 4.0 patches to MicroVMS 1.0 would be a good idea. I'm afraid that you'll have to upgrade to 4.0 first. Actually, given the small size of the RD disks, you should probably backup your user directories first, then go through a complete installation from scratch. Otherwise, your disk will get unusably fragmented. Selden Ball
