LARP is used by TCF to 1)locate participating sites in the cluster; 2) translate site numbers into IP addresses; and, 3) determine the best IP route between various sites. > For those out there aware of this and also running cisco routers, > I would like to go a step further to find out compatibility of this > protocol on ciscos, including access/passage of LARP traffic through > cisc.o Is there something that has to be enabled to allow LARP through > cisco? What is the default? In our testing, I have found that Cisco routers will not pass LARP such that AIX/370 will accept it. I have had to manually route to each site using "route add host ...". I have found that "route add net ..." will not work. Russ Heise, AIX Technical Support, IBM rah@ibm.com
