I don't want to use /u as my user filesystem. I created two other filesystems and deleted /u and now I have some problems. Although all the filesystems are on disks in the same volume group, some will grow, others will not. All the filesystem characteristics seem the same---am I missing something here? I am all BSD in background so I admit I am having trouble with some of the differences. The other problem is that when I try "cd ~username" the shell I am using (which is /bin/csh, by the way) locks up and must be killed from somewhere else. This seems like a csh problem to me but I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with an assumption about /u. Any help much appreciated. Mail responses would be best and I can summarize if there's interest. Thanks, Jeanne Leclair (leclair@chamois.cs.uiowa.edu)
