I 've been trying for a week to add two PS/2 model 80 (AIX1.2) in a "UNIX" network. At this point the TCP/IP seems to work properly--- although I 've noticed some problems with the named. However I was not able to make NFS and YP to work. The problem seems to have to do with the RPC mechanism, because failures are reported as "...Cannot communicate with the portmapper...". However the portmap runs and the rpcinfo shows that everything is ok. --Has anybody experienced such problems before? --Is there any way to conduct the IBM customer service for such problems? I will really appreciate any answer. Thanks a lot. Panos Kougiouris kougiour@cs.uiuc.edu Univ. of Illinois Dept. of Comp. Science 1304 W. Springfield Urbana, IL61801 Tel: (217) 3337937
