I heard of someone here who had succesfully configured a third party external scsi disk drive on a RISC6000. Would someone please share the details with me? I am trying (as a test) to configure a Micropolis 1578 330 MB scsi drive this way and am not having much luck. cfgmgr will not find the drive. The odd thing is that aix finds it at boot time and correctly identifies it on address 4 (40). That is the last time it will find it. What are the known brands that will work? I have followed info's steps and the first one is to run cfgmgr, and it fails, so... The reason I say "as a test" is ultimately I would like to do this with something like an 600-1gig drive or two.
