HELP! We have an RS/320 that is on a thin-ether line connected to a twisted pair repeater. Lately, our connection between the RS and the rest of the world has been EVAPORATING! The only way to get it back is restart the machine! It seems to die after an hour or more. It can go for a day without dying, or as short as an hour. The hardware seems ok since a couple of MACII's on ethernet cards on the same segment stay alive even after the RS loses it. The command SMIT uses to configure the interface is: mktcpip -h'ozone.atmos.uiuc.edu' -a'128.174.80.16' -m'255.255.255.0' -i'en0' -n'128.174.5.59' -d'ux1.cso.uiuc.edu' -g'128.174.80.8' Anybody got any ideas? Has anybody else had similar problems with their RS network dying out mysteriously?
