From: Tony Li <Tli@Usc-Eclb> Hi, Another workaround might be to do a $CRELNT for a kernel mode table for the group. This sounds like a nice easy hack. Someone? The assign works nicely after that.... On a different topic, has anyone played extensively with search paths yet? What we're doing is: $ define/system/exec/trans=(conceal,term) sys$sysroot - dua0:[usc0.],dua0:[sys0.] This is nice because we can put things in [usc0.sysexe] and they act just like something in [sys0.sysexe]. In the meantime, our images are separated from DEC's, and things that would write to [sys0...] end up in our area (except if they do things explicitly, of course). Clearly for installation of new products and update we'll have to set the definition back to normal (at least during the installation). Other than this minor problem, does anyone see any more 'Gotcha's? Thanks, Tony ;-)
