For some unknown reason, our RS/6000, which is using nfs, will occasionally lock up when we try to access files on the file server. The response from our machine is NFS server ibm2 not responding still trying where ibm2 is the name of the RS/6000 machine. ibm2 is not a file server but something seems to think that it is. Our only way out of this situation is a reboot. This occurs at least twice daily, sometimes more. Can anyone tell us what we are doing wrong?
