Does any one have a version on NNTP which works for the RS6000?

I thought about emailing this, but then I figured others might want to know. I have a 520 nntp serving for a VAX, a Sun 4, a 530, and IBM RT. I grabbed the out-of-the-box latest version and installed it. There were some header file problems, but I think for the most part it only took about an hour to install (I usually tossed it in the background and looked at the make output, so the install time could have been less). We're a UUCP connection using cnews, nntp, and rn. I seem to recall making minor changes to most of these packages. I am pretty sure that most of the changes I had to make were along the lines of commenting out declarations of functions that IBM made inline macros for (which generally produce complaints about too few macro arguments). There's probably someone out there with ftp'able patches. I can't e-mail the sources, but I'll do anonymous UUCP if anyone wants any of these. Peter ----- cassandra!peter@yenta.alb.nm.us
