[comp.unix.aix] Wanted: login screen running under X for RS/6000

cherny@abacus.Colorado.EDU (Stacey Cherny) (12/18/90)

Has anybody set up an RS/6000 console so that the X-server is
running at all times, with a login screen running under it? That
sure would be a nice feature, since that way the X screen saver
could be running between login sessions. If anybody has such a
setup, I would greatly appreciate knowing how it was done.

Many thanks.

I am looking for same thing, too. Please post it if anyone has anything to
say, I guess there may be more people interested out there.

Yeah, I did... works too... but being a hack and slash type person, I'll have to go back and
see how I did it. I'll get back later with the info if no one else posts.

Doug.
