Hi, I'm using the pc simulator (unfortunately) on the RS/6000. I am trying to use the vt220 configuration file. I have grabbed a public domain version of vi, which works fine for the most part. It works until I hit control-f to try to page forward. Control-f makes the simulator print a prompt in reverse video, asking for some kind of path name, and refuses to accept any input. Actually, it accepts input, it just wont do anything with it. The PF3 key is mapped to the 'New Config File' sequence, and it works fine. This appears to be the same prompt, only this one wont respond to anything. There is no explicit stanza mapping control-f to anything. Anyone know how to fix this? This is a 530 running 3001, and the version of the simulator with the LANG bug (I don't know what version number it is). Related : Microsoft quickbasic works fine using the RT (2.2.1) pc-simulator. Under the 6000 simulator, it starts up and then inserts an endless stream of back ticks "`" into the file that I am trying to edit. This only occurs when trying to use X11. Anyone seen this behavior?
